According to several film rating websites, here are the latest and best films of 2024. Is your favorite movie there?

1. LONGLEGS (2024)

Starting from the latest film longlegs (2024) released on July 12, 2024, it received a rating of 7.4 and was ranked second best film of 2024 according to imdb.com, it is a thriller horror genre film full of puzzles by Oz Perkins. The film stars Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage, who also produced the film through his Saturn Films production company.

A film that tells the story of a talented FBI agent named Lee Harker (Maika Monroe) who is assigned to solve a difficult case that has yet to be solved. The case given to Lee Harker involves a mysterious serial killer named Longlegs (Nicolas Cage).

The audience will be taken with the horror of the plot and the storyline full of tense mystery equipped with psychological horror film scenes, of course making the longlegs film a must-watch on the big screen while occasionally closing your eyes and is only intended for those of you who are 17 years and over.

2. DESPICABLE ME 4 (2024)

An American animated comedy film produced by Illumination and distributed by Universal Pictures. It will be the sequel to Despicable Me 3, the fourth main film, and the sixth overall in the Despicable Me franchise. It has a rating of 6.3 on imdb.com and is the highest-grossing sequel of the year.

3. FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA (2024)

This Mad Max sequel continues life in the wastelands of Australia after a period of post-apocalyptic destruction. There, humanity struggles to survive. Young Furiosa whose life was taken from the Green Place of Many Mothers. Furiosa then falls into the hands of a biker gang led by warlord Dementus. set years after a global disaster. The disaster affected Australia which became a radioactive wasteland, except for the Green Place of Many Mothers area. The area is one of the survivors because it still has clean water and agricultural land.

The franchise began in 1979 with the film Mad Max and was followed by three films: Mad Max 2 (1981), Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985) and Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). Mel Gibson starred in the first three films and Tom Hardy took the lead role in the fourth.

4. DUNE: PART TWO (2024)

It was released by WaterTower Music on February 23, 2024, one week before the film's theatrical release in the United States. 

Received a very satisfactory rating on imdb.com of 8.6 making the film memorable for extraordinary adventure and conflict. began showing in the United States on March 1, 2024, and grossed $ 178 million globally.

5. DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE (2024)

Deadpool & Wolverine is a 2024 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics characters of the same name, co-produced by Marvel Studios, Maximum Effort, and 21 Laps Entertainment, and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

Reynolds and Hugh Jackman star as Deadpool and Wolverine, alongside Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen. In the film, the Time Variance Authority (TVA) pulls Deadpool out of his quiet life and places him on a mission with Wolverine that will change the course of the MCU. While Deadpool & Wolverine marks Deadpool's MCU debut, Ryan Reynolds has made it clear that the film was not made with sequels and future settings in mind.

For those of you who can't wait for Deadpool & Wolverine, the film will be released in theaters on July 26, 2024. The filming process for Deadpool & Wolverine began in May 2023. However, due to the Hollywood actors union strike, the filming was delayed from July to November 2023.

6. GLADIATOR II (2024)

Gladiator 2 is a 2024 British historical drama film directed by Ridley Scott. It is a sequel to Gladiator, written by David Scarpa, and stars Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen, Djimon Hounsou, and Derek Jacobi. It will be released on 15 November 2024 in the UK.

After 24 years, the film Gladiator (2000) will finally get a sequel. This news was confirmed by Paramount Pictures who have released the first trailer for the sequel film titled Gladiator 2. Ridley Scott will return to the director's chair. Meanwhile, many new casts will appear in the sequel to the Gladiator film. However, some actors return to play the same characters as 24 years ago.
